At Little Creek Ranch, the happiness of our horses is top priority. All of the equine residents here have a story. A few have come from loving owners who simply didn't have enough time or money to properly care for their horses. Others have been abused and neglected. No matter what the situation, we strive to provide them with a safe, comfortable environment that helps them reach maximum health and maximum potential.

Our aim here is to breed exceptional sport horses, and the quality of our mares reflects this. But another important aim is to promote the idea of taking a second look. A horse's disposition and natural abilities should be far more important than his breed, color or height. And while certain breeds are best suited to certain disciplines, there are always exceptions. Horses are individuals, just like people, and they perform best when they are doing what they are good at. They should not be overlooked because of their breed, nor should their breed determine that they do something for which they are not suited.

This philosophy is reflected in our breeding program. The traditional imported warmblood breeds have become extremely expensive, and we are proud to offer horses more within reach of the average rider, and just as competitive. The lesser known breeds that we love have just as much to offer - soundness, temperament, conformation, strength and ability - if we will but take the time to look.
